Spring Classics

It's time for the spring classics.  Long rides, 300 km, possible weather, rough roads, short steep climbs, and hoards of cycling fans lining the roads.  I would love to watch the peleton roll by.

fields of Flanders

Can this be a romantic relationship?  Desire?  To be in the shoes of this man mucking through the black thick mud, driving my legs, and feeling my lungs burn. And all this for a pat on the back and a nod of appreciation.

I'm a bike fiend.  But this is so cool.  I've been eyeing the Calfee bamboo bike for years.  Elegant, functional, organic.  And he's got a great project going on in Ghana to make bike production, hemp and bamboo, into a cottage industry.  Talk about using local resources.  Eat local, build local.  Hmmm, so what would be build a bike out of in Arizona.
